Your Memories, Restored and Preserved

  • Clean, Conditioned, and Ready for Scanning

We use professional cleaning methods to prepare every reel before scanning. Using safe film cleaners such as VistaClean together with lint-free PEC Pads, we carefully remove dust, loose debris, and surface contaminants like mould. This process also applies a light protective layer that lubricates the film, helping it run smoothly during scanning while reducing the risk of further wear. Film cleaning is always included in the cost of transfer, ensuring not only the best possible image quality but also improved protection for your reels in long-term storage.

  • Sharper, Smoother, Flicker-Free Transfers

Unlike older transfer methods that simply project the film onto a screen and record it, frame-by-frame scanning captures each individual image on the reel with precision. By photographing every frame separately, we preserve the full detail, colour, and sharpness of the original film. This approach eliminates flicker, reduces distortion, and allows for accurate stabilisation and colour correction during restoration. The result is a smoother, clearer digital version that stays true to the look and feel of the original film.

  • Restoring and Refining Your Film

Once scanned, every reel is processed in DaVinci Resolve Studio to bring out the best possible results. We split the film into individual scenes, stabilise shaky images, and adjust the colour to restore natural tones. Advanced digital tools allow us to remove dirt and scratches from frames, reduce excess grain, and smooth out imperfections. The result is a clean, vibrant, and stable digital version that stays true to the original while making it a pleasure to watch again.

See the Difference: Real Film Transfer Examples

Every reel tells a story, and the way it looks on screen depends on more than just the scan. Age, condition, exposure, and film stock all influence the amount of grain, the richness of the colours, and the sharpness of the picture. We carefully clean, stabilise, and colour-correct each reel to bring out the very best, but the final result will always carry the unique character of the original film.
